In Sochi there took place a meeting of the Council of the Russian Association of water supply and water disposal

On September 25, 2008 in Sochi there took place a visiting session of the Council of self-regulated organization Russian Association of water supply and water disposal (SO RAVV/ÑÎ ÐÀÂÂ).

SO RAVV is the first and unique self-regulated organization in the water supply and sewage sector of Russia. It unites 200 Russian water supply and disposal enterprises, leading scientific- research and project institutes, Russian and foreign providers of technologies, equipment and materials for the sector needs. More than 70 million Russian citizens use services of Vodokanal companies that are members of the Association. 

In 2008 the SO RAVV Council in Sochi was received by the company «YugVodokanal», which is part of the Group of companies «Evrasiyskiy» and has unique experience in realization of projects of the State and private partnership to attract investments to to the communal system objects. When reconstructing and constructing objects of water supply and disposal sector in the interests of Sochi inhabitants, and taking into consideration the needs of the prospective Olympic games in 2014 the company «YugVodokanal» and its strategic investor JSC «Evrasiyskiy» will have to solve complex problems on modernization of the whole system of water supply and disposal in the resort area. 

Sergey Victorovich Yashechkin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC «Evrasiyskiy», Director General of LLC «YugVodokanal» started with the welcome address to the  SO RAVV Council members on behalf of the receiving party. 

At the meeting of the SO RAVV Council they considered questions on realization of the association activity program. 

The Council members heard the information from Aleksey Vladimirovich Golovachev, Executive Director of the Association, about the change in status of the program «Clean water» from the federal-target program to the state one. For the time being the program is developed by the The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Institute of Microeconomy. The Association Council  has been actively participating in the work of the project  «Clean water».

Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources requested the Association to solve problems of definition of objective assessment of the existing rationing arrangements, making constructive proposal to reduce the negative impact on the water objects. In accordance with the request of the Ministry SO RAVV sent its remarks and suggestions to make changes in the current legislation, which are necessary to elaborate the state policy in the area of environmental protection and ecology. The work on introduction of changes to the normative and legislative acts continues. The Association Council discussed signing of agreement for cooperation and interaction of SO RAVV and Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation.

The Association Council made a number of other decisions on relevant questions in the water supply and disposal sector.
