Let's preserve water together!

The rising generation and environment determine the well fare of the nearest future. 

That is why a new structural subdivision Children's ecological center has been established on the basis of PO «Vodokanal». Its main working areas are ecological education of the youth in the field of water resources preservation in the Don land, development of solicitous attitude to water consumption and distribution of information about OAO PO «Vodokanal Rostov-on-Don» activities among school children.

The Center is equipped with modern facilities, visual support and necessary literature. All the lessons here are organized as interactive, which allows every child being an active participant of various types of activities. The children have a great chance to show their cognitive and creative capabilities, learn new methods of investigation and solutions of environmental protection problems, and consolidate information, which they studied at Physics, Biology, Chemistry and History of the Don land. 

The work of the Children's ecological center is based on:

• Studies with «Vodokanal» employees and Rostov schoolchildren;
• Excursions to the objects of PO «Vodokanal» as visual support to make children understand the production activities of the enterprise. 

Opening of the Children's ecological center 

Solemn presentation  of the Children's ecological center took place on June 05, 2004. The event was timed to the World Day of Environment protection. 

The teacher at the first lesson was М.А.Chernyshev, Mayor of Rostov-on-Don. Mikhail Anatolievich told children about the state of the city environment, about impressing volumes of Rostov «Vodokanal» and about peculiarities of this water supply and sewage enterprise. The slogan of the discussion was «Let's preserve water together!»
